Members of the San Gabriel Valley Human Trafficking Task Force were conducting operations on Holt Blvd in Pomona as a demand reduction effort for sex buying. Sex buying and sex selling is against the law in the State of California and it is not a victimless crime.
In this case they discovered two females sitting in vehicles engaging with men. One was identified as a 14 year old girl who was six months pregnant and had been previously reported missing outside the Pomona area . Another was a 16-year-old girl and the third was a 17-year old girl. The minors were offered services as victims of sex trafficking. During the rest of the week agents conducted more operations along Holt Blvd and arrested four males and seven females for commercial sex trafficking related crimes. Of the seven females, five accepted services from victim advocates.
