CASE ANALYSIS: SEXTORTION BY A REPEAT OFFENDER CHAD LEHOFER FROM VIRGINIA AND A VICTIM: 15 YR.OLD FEMALE FROM CALIFORNIA
This case is an excellent case study of sextortion for teens, parents, and any youth leader.
Lehofer is 37 yrs old living in Virginia and he is a convicted sex offender having previously spent time in prison for child sex crimes. He meets a 15 yr. old girl from California online and over a four month period they exchange hundreds of erotic images and videos. When the girl tried to break it off, he is ruthless.
Lehofer, obtains the location where the victim is living and threatened to come to her home. He also obtained personal information on her mother and her mother's place of work and used that to intimidate the victim. He also pretends to be a different person by using a spoofer phone and pretending that he is nearby the victim, even though he is still in Virginia.
