Riverside County Anti Human Trafficking Task Force (RCAHT) takes action to stop sex trafficking.
During the period of February 7 to 10, 2022, the RCAHT, in conjunction with the Riverside County Sheriff and local and federal law enforcement agencies, conducted a Prostitution Demand Reduction operation. This operation resulted in the arrest of 31 males and seven females and the rescue of two individuals who are believed to be the victims of sex trafficking.
Sex Trafficking and Prostitution are not victimless crimes. Many individuals who are engaged in commercial prostitution have experienced violence, abuse and trauma. Often those engaged in prostitution are sexually exploited at the hands of their trafficker and those who are seeking to buy sex.
Congratulations to the RCAHT team and the supporting law enforcement agencies. Riverside County is fortunate to have strong law enforcement and prosecutors to ensure that victims of human trafficking can be identified, and provided with services that can help them get their lives back on track. Million Kids is proud of you and we salute this fine effort.
